New poem: "Incroyable"

 

“Incroyable”

 

“Incroyable,” the French would say,

all that vitriol for the former president

of the United States; how can anyone

have so much hate for this self-made

billionaire whose life’s goal now is still

to make America great again? The biased

hosts and mendacious guests at MSNBC,

NBC, ABC, and CNN, so much animus

that it justified its own diagnostics known

as the Trump Derangement Syndrome; but

what drives this hatred? What could be so

horrific that it would make one attempt

to assassinate the former president? What’s

at the bottom of this psychosis? Anger?

Fear? Resentment? Is it that mental virus

that eats away common sense like a cancer,

the woke ideology that turns decent people

into liars, cheaters, and self-deceivers? Even

little Opie Taylor. Has Hollywood gone

mad? “C’est incroyable!”
