New poem: "And Now What?"

And Now What?

It doesn’t matter what we do

in life, after we do it we always

ask ourselves, and now what? And

if we have lived before and come

back again, we begin once more doing

something different; and when we’ve

done it, we ask ourselves, and now

what? Life is a forever game of now

whats, forever seeking that one thing

that will satisfy our need to be all

we can be; and not until we find it,

will we ever be truly happy.

New poem: "All We're Meant to Be"

All We’re Meant to Be

Alright, I’m going to say it. God,

how long I’ve been putting this off

for fear of my presumption, but I have

to declare it: I no longer live in the same

world as you. There, I’ve said it. Your

world smothered my soul with the blight

of too much, and how so much I needed

relief. Then I heard the call and found the

secret way out of your world, and here

I am today, in the light of common day,

living my life the same as you but no

longer blind to life’s sacred purpose to be

all we’re meant to be; and despite life’s

cruel ingratitude, I bless you on your

destined journey to selfhood.

New poem: "What's with Our World Today?

What’s with Our World Today?

What’s with our world today? Just

when you think you have a handle on life,

the world changes before our eyes, as it

did when the nasty mental woke virus,

(the strangest disease to plague humankind

since Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit

of the Tree of Knowledge), infected the weak,

resentful, and spiteful with an ersatz moral

imperative to free victims of social injustice

from the cruel and oppressive forces of the

accomplished that demand nothing less

than self-empowerment, as Natural

Law has done since Year One.

New poem: "The Big Picture of Life"

The Big Picture of Life

Did you know that we have two selves,

one real self and one false self? And

did you know that neither our real self

nor our false self is our true self? What

a conundrum, you say. But this is what

Jesus meant in the Lost Gospel of Thomas

when he said his kingdom would come

“when the two become one, and the outer

like the inner, and the male with the female

neither male nor female.” But what did

Jesus mean by this? And how in Christ’s

name can we make our real and false self

into one true self that is neither male

nor female? “He who loses his life shall

find it,” said Jesus; that’s how we become

our true self. But who knows how to die

to what we are and what we are not, let

alone have the courage to do it? It’s a real

tricky business, this human condition, and

only a few lucky people ever get to see

the big picture of life; and when they do,

who’s going to believe them?

New poem: "The Maple Leaf Forever"

The Maple Leaf Forever

Little did he know what he was doing

(or did he?); but Donald J. Trump, the 45th

President of the United States who won

back the Oval Office from President Joe

Biden, whose mind was in obvious decline,

became the 47th President and said, in jest,

(maybe not), that Canada should be the 51st

State of the nation that he wanted to make

great again. Trump sent such a chill into

the Canadian people that it threw the country

into such a tizzy of doubtful identity that

it felt like stepping out of a mist into the

stark reality of how separate and distinct we

are from our good friends and neighbors;

and, deliberate or not, President Donald J.

Trump did the Maple Leaf Forever

a mighty big favor.
