New poem: "It's Only a Theory"

 

It’s Only a Theory

 

I have a theory that’s too good to be true;

but I believe it, because I lived it. And

it doesn’t matter if we don’t believe in God

or in the immortal soul; we will all realize

our destined purpose, because it’s written

in our spiritual DNA. From one lifetime to the

next, we will keep coming back to live life

over again to grow in love and understanding;

and when we’ve grown enough to be born

in Spirit, out we come into the light of day

like a newborn infant. No religion necessary,

nor esoteric magic; just life, life, and more life

until we have grown too much for our mortal

ego and are born in Soul, our true nature.

It’s only a theory, I know; but wouldn’t it be

lovely if it were true?
