Knowledge
Seekers
Certainty
breeds pomposity,
and
pomposity is hard to bear.
Not
for the pompous, who are
so
certain of their knowledge
they
cannot see the affect they
have
on knowledge seekers; but
for
us. If pomposity is the price
we
have to suffer to learn what
we
need to know, then let them
be
as pompous as they please,
and
be grateful. That’s how I felt
about
Nietzsche, Sartre, and
Lord
Bertrand Russell.
