The Glorious NOW

We have moments in our life that live

on forever, and moments that slip

into the sinkhole of lost time never to

be remembered; but we don’t know which

moments go on to live forever, and

which expire the day after. Sitting on

my front deck yesterday afternoon resting

my eyes after several hours of reading

my papers—the Star and National Post,

just to stay abreast of the news with

good old-fashioned journalism and editorials

(Conrad Black, my favorite; and a purblind

Trump denier whose column I read just

for entertainment), when for no apparent

reason I became aware of such a peaceful

stillness in the air that it awakened me

to the divine mystery of the moment,

and I sat back in my chair and joyfully

revelled in the eternal moment

of the glorious NOW.
