The Way of Tao

 When life gets in the way

of what you are doing,

what gets in your way

is what you are meant to do;

this is the Tao straightening

out the corners of your life,

so you can have a straight

path to your true self.

New poem: "I Saw a Great Man Cry"

 

I Saw a Great Man Cry

 I saw a great man cry

because he didn’t know why,

a great believer in the human

condition who gave his all

to resolve it; and all of his efforts

that helped so many through

their wretched condition left him

bereft of the answer he was looking

for, and he cried as he bared his

own wretched soul online. He

brought me to tears with his agony

and pain, and I heaved a heavy

sigh, wishing I could walk

the path for him.
