New poem: "An Ode to JBP"

An Ode to JBP

Oh, what a threat he has become,

speaking his mind on all things divine,

matters of the soul and the soul of matter,

the Wonder that is Man. But wait, that’s

not politically correct! Oh, what a storm

that’s brewing, this dysmorphic conflation

of today’s confused generation, no longer

a Rumi thing— “I, you, he, she, we. In

the garden of mystic lovers, these are

not true distinctions.” And mindlessness

reigns supreme in the halls of academe,

where one lone academic dared to contend

a government bill censuring what we call

our fellow human being. No longer he

and she, only what “they” deem themselves

to be; and stepping into this 21st century

roman colosseum to trade wits with woke

pretenders, bold warrior, interpreter of sacred

mysteries, hierophant of the modern world,

so tired of the shallow and disingenuous,

shine your light from under your bushel

and set us free from this tyranny

of cultural idiocy!

New poem: "The Process"

The Process

 The Process has many faces,

an infinity of fractals divine,

atoms of all-knowing seeking

human conception, singular

insights, embryonic souls

and perfect images of people

like you and me—doctor, poet,

teacher, cabinet maker—every

“I” in synchronous harmony

with the glorious mystery

of the Word to be.

New poem: "The Pettifoggers"

The Pettifoggers

Centurions at the gates of life,

protectors of our common right,

long have we held you in high

esteem for your honorable deeds;

but how could we know of your

pettifoggery had we not crossed

the boundaries of your perfidy

and learned that what you guarded

was your own status, uncommon

though it be with all that you presume

to be? But when you went after an

honorable man, respected professor

and clinical psychologist, global

best-seller, world-class intellectual,

and esteemed scholar who stood

his ground for his democratic right

to speak his mind and threatened

to take away his licence to practice

his unblemished profession because

of what he said offended the foolish

woke, you betrayed our God-given

right to free thought and speech

and shamed our beloved nation in

the eyes of the free world.
